Under the direction of the Vice President of Clinical Services, the Behaviorist works directly with adult consumers and staff at Enable to assess and evaluate the behavioral/psychiatric management needs of the individuals we serve; develop behavioral prevention and intervention plans; and train staff in successful implementation of the plans. This position will assist with crisis intervention, through on-call availability and possibly in person support.
Qualifications:
· Must be 21 years of age or older
· Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis or other natural science, education, human services, medicine or a field related to behavior analysis
· 3 years of experience working with persons with disabilities
· Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring behavior plans
· Experience with behavioral and/or psychiatric assessments and interventions
· Experience working with mental health disorders would be a plus
· Works well independently
· Ability to teach and coach staff to implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong problem solving skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with the consumers with whom they are working
· Ability to effectively complete necessary work-related documentation through paper and computer records systems
· Valid driver’s license and personal automobile
· Experience working with adults is required
· BCBA certification is a plus, but not required
